During the 2026 summer break, heiler installed a hybrid turf system at the RheinEnergieSTADION for the first time on behalf of Kölner Sportstätten. The system significantly improves the durability of the pitch at the historic stadium in Cologne’s Müngersdorf district. The reinforcement increases both shear resistance and water permeability, enhancing overall pitch quality.

During the summer, the stadium regularly hosts concerts by national and international artists, making it necessary to replace the hybrid turf system afterwards. For this reason, a system with shorter synthetic fibres was installed. Measuring just 10 cm rather than 20 cm, the fibres allow renovation to be carried out with minimal effort.
